Did some research on Which Car Buying Guide website and I've come to the conclusion it's not really the right car for me. I can do better at that price and get something really suitable for me. So I've phoned and let the sellers know.
Now to thoroughly investigate used cars and get a list of makes and models to consider. I still have hankerings for a Corsa, I've got a real soft spot for Vauxhalls. But I shall dig and delve and see what's out there.
Can't recommend Which enough, btw. :)

I'm looking for a used car, top budget is £5000 but I'd prefer nearer £4k. Must be either one of the so-called "Supermini" range like the Vauxhall Corsa or the Peugeot 206 (or 207), or a medium sized car like the Ford Focus. 3dr or 5dr, must be manual gear. Will consider either diesel or petrol. Decent safety and good braking systems are a must. Biggest issues are reliability and fuel economy. Optional but very desirable extras are air con and good heating/demisting.
Really appreciate this :) let me know if you need more info!
