The pay rise or lack of may well be the deciding factor. I'm tired of living on the overdraft and raiding the savings every damn month.

Incidentally, do you live anywhere near Staples Corner?

Not far away, I used to work there. er... about 5 miles or so? It's just by junction 1 of the M1. It'd've been a simple commute if I rode the bike then, but it's not handy for the tube, and the buses are sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow (and horrible.)
