ARGH!!

They've just announced they've moved the U2 concert I was scheduled to go to on Friday 25th September to Wednesday 23rd September.

FFS! I fly in on the Wednesday so at least I don't have to cling to American Airlines and beg to change my flights but a U2 gig on top of jet lag?

Thanks a frickin' bunch New York Jets football team and your desire to accommodate Yom frickin' Kippur. (They've moved the start time of the game to 1pm Sunday 27th, meaning U2 can't do the concert on Friday night and have the stadium clear in time. So they're moving the concert).

BASTARDS.

Maybe I could change to an earlier flight on the Wednesday and get some sleep before I go? I'll have to think about it.

*wanders off, snarling*

Noooooo!! Wow, that's crap. If you can change to an earlier flight I think it would be a good plan.

I'll make nice with American Airlines tomorrow, see what they say. Can only ask, right?

Fersure. Got to be worth a try. Man, if they'd pulled that on me when I went to the States to see U2, I'd've thrown an epic-scale wobbly.

If they'd moved it to the Tuesday, I'd have thrown an epic scale wobbly myself. As it is, it's going to cost us more because we'll have to extend the hotel stay by an extra two nights. *mutters darkly* Oh well, it gives us more time to do stuff over the weekend :)

I'm amazed by the fact that nobody at a *New York-based* football team thought to check the schedule for Jewish holidays in the first place.

FWIW, I didn't get jet lag when I went out to the US, only when I came back.

Yeh, it's not so much jet lag, it's just the being up for 24 hrs plus by the time the day's done. We had planned to go to a baseball game that night, which would also have made for a long day but we would have headed back to [livejournal.com profile] jenni411's house, which wouldn't be such a haul as getting back from NJ.
