That's so cool that you got to see another live performance! I was able to see it on Broadway several years ago (it was after the original cast had left, but still) and it was basically the Best Thing Ever.

I got introduced to it through one of my friends at the college theater-- he brought in the show soundtrack one day to listen to while we were set building and I got completely hooked.

Once that show gets into your bloodstream, it's there to stay :D I was lucky enough to get to NYC to see Rent on Broadway before it closed (saw Tracie Thoms! Eeee!) but it was just as wonderful to see another live production in my lil' ol home town theatre. Just a fantastic, fantastic work :)
