Dr Who - Season 5, Episode 13 "The Big Bang" (SPOILERS!!!)

Non-Spoiler - THAT WAS FRICKIN' AMAZING! THAT was the show I grew up with. Thank you Stephen Moffat.

OMG, Stephen Moffat is a frickin' genius. I am not even going to ATTEMPT to describe the plot but there wasn't one minute of it that didn't make me squee like a happy fangirly.

They snuck plot bits into previous episodes and you didn't realise they were plot bits until tonight!!! Oh I LOVE that!!!

They redeemed Amy Pond! They made Rory seven shades of awesome!!

I AM NOW OFFICIALLY IN LOVE WITH RIVER SONG!! OMG! Best line ever - "And what time do you call this?!"

(Someone tell me there is good River Song fic out there)

Amy and Rory are married! That'll remove the UST crap out of the Whoverse for a while. No more love sick assistants pining for the Doctor!

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Oh you clever bastards!

RIVER SONG OMG! Last line of ominous too. Dammit, she's going to be the Rani or something isn't she? I'm WARNING you show, don't fuck up River Song!!

*sighs happily*

OK, THAT's how to do Dr Who. I will, for the very first time, buy the DVDs of a Dr Who series, just so I can watch this episode over and over.

Hell, I may even watch the repeat tomorrow if it doesn't clash with anything :)

It was great! And I continue to love River Song. And yes, they better not fuck her up because she's about perfect as she is. The doctor works best with a strong, independent companion. OK, the love-interest with Rose and Martha was fine for a bit but there's only so much fluff and pining a person can take. And oh my god is Amy Pond the furthest thing from fluff and pining that can be imagined. :-D

I already have plans for how to watch the Christmas ep.
