1. Favourite movie (or Top 5 Faves, Top 10 Faves, Top Oops I Got Carried Away)?
Tough call; I'll always watch Star Wars.

2. Actor(s) you'd happily watch reading the phone book?
James Earl Jones could read anything and it would be FRIGGIN' AWESOME.

3. Actress(es) you'd happily watch reading the phone book?
Monica Bellucci could read anything and I'd be like MMMMMMCLEAVAGE.

4. First movie you remember seeing at the cinema as a child?
Star Wars. At a DRIVE IN. That's right, I'm old, WHO WANTS A PIECE OF ME?

5. Favourite Disney movie?
Excluding Pixar, Beauty and the Beast.

6. Preferred cinema snack?
Twizzlers

7. First movie that made you cry like a baby?
Charlotte's Web. Eh, I was five, and the spider died, and *sniffle*.

8. Comedy movie that still makes you cry with laughter?
Over The Hedge

9. What movie is the most over-rated? (i.e. that one movie everyone claims is a classic but you just don't get it?)
Citizen Kane. Or Fargo.

10. What movie most deserved the Best Film Oscar and was cruelly robbed?
I have no clue when it comes to award shows.

11. First horror movie you remember watching?
The Exorcist. That's right, I'M STILL OLD. BRING IT!

12. Scariest movie you've ever watched as an adult?
The Ring. It was an unexpected dose of creepy menace that really hit home. Also, I saw it at midnight in a theater that had a crypt in the middle of the parking lot. That sure didn't help.

13. First 18 certificate movie you saw (legally or otherwise) at the cinema?
...I have no idea.

14. Movie you wished you'd never paid money to see?
Notting Hill. Date movies can be exercises in torture.

15. Most underated film actor, past or present (male or female)
Mark Wahlberg. People see Marky Mark and think of his music career, but he really put out some great performances in a variety of films.

16. Most over-rated film actor, past or present (male or female)
Tom Hanks. Good in Toy Story. Less so when you can see his face. Partial credit for Mazes and Monsters.

17. Is there one film you've watched more than 20 times?
A lot more than one!

18. If you could make a movie, what sort of movie would you make?
Action/Fantasy/SciFi

19. Any film(s) that you'd like to rewrite? (change the ending/tweak a character/remove annoying gaping plot holes, that sort of thing)
Transformers I and II. I'd cut out every scene that had no robots, and eliminate all human dialogue. Then I'd replace all that time with scenes of GIANT FRIGGIN' ROBOTS BEATING THE HOLY CRAP OUT OF EACH OTHER.

20. If you could be any movie character, who would you be?
Wong Fei-Hong, as played by Jet Li in Once Upon A Time In China. Because he's badass.

21. Movie character you'd dearly love to smack. Hard. While wearing chainmail gloves?
You know all those stupid comic relief sidekicks that you get in Disney movies and other action comedies? Like Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I WOULD SMACK THEM ALL.

22. Most romantic movie you've watched and enjoyed? (Or ran screaming from?)
Love, Actually was romcom at its finest.

23. Favourite animated (non-Disney) movie?
Over The Hedge is non-stop brilliance. Shrek and Toy Story are close by.

24. What genre of movies do you prefer?
Action. Adventure. Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

25. What genre of movies do you avoid like the plague?
RomCom, some Comedies.

26. Is there a specific movie you really cannot stand to watch?
Fargo springs to mind.

27. Is there a particular actor/actress you cannot stand to watch?
There's something about Reese Witherspoon that just sets my nerves on edge.

28. Movie that surprised you by being better/worse than you expected?
Recently saw Prince of Persia which, for a movie based on a video game, was surprisingly good.

29. Favourite special effects scene? (CGI or traditional)
The big fleet battles at the end of Return of the Jedi and the beginning of Revenge of the Sith were very well done. So was the Lobby Gun Battle in The Matrix.

30. Your choice of outstanding directors of your generation?
Spielberg, probably. He's done a lot of good films that everyone recognizes and can appreciate. Tarantino is way overrated.

*giggles* You're supposed to spread this over 30 days but I admire your succinct answers. I can never do these memes without rambling or ranting :D

Re: Directors - I get what you're saying about Tarantino but I still love his films. Overhyped rather than over-rated, perhaps?

I'm too high-speed for thirty days! NOW BABY NOW!

I do like some Tarantino films, true. But I think he gets a lot more credit than deserved. Overhyped might be the right word.

1. Favourite movie (or Top 5 Faves, Top 10 Faves, Top Oops I Got Carried Away)?

1. The Sixth Sense. Any movie that can keep me clueless that long (totally didn't get it until the wife dropped the wedding ring) is pure awesomeness.

2. Return of the Jedi. (Sorry, Jenni, but I'm a sucker for happy endings, so this one beats Empire and New Hope every time.)

3. The Empire Strikes Back. (I didn't say it beat it by much.)

4. The Abyss. (Mary Elizabeth Mastreano[however the hell you spell it,] Ed Harris and Michael Biehn were beyond awesome in this move.

5. Animal House. "Very good. And now what am I? A ZIT!" That never fails to make me laugh like a twelve-year old boy.
