the Princess Bride is like Star Wars in that if you see it as a kid you TOTALLY get it, but if you don't you wonder what everyone was smoking. Thankfully, i saw it as a kid! :P

Citizen Kane broke with a lot of movie traditions and suprised people, but now that we have movies with better twists, and less traditional content, the movie just doesn't hold up. As for Kubrick.... it is more the idea behind the movies than the movies themselves. The movies themselves.... ya. Although I did actually enjoy 2001: A Space Odyssey .. I won't watch it again, but I did enjoy it.
