I'm not sure about the records bit, seems that would hurt smaller artists. But I have no problem with boycotting other things for a month. The question would be if enough people did for the megacorps to notice.

Re: music -- They're wanting to hit the big media companies in their pocketbooks, so don't get your music from big media companies! Go out to live music in your area -- not some big arena show, but a guy with a guitar and a gravelly voice (or a girl with a guitar and the voice of an angel) at the local pub or listening room or coffee house -- and buy his CD from his hand out of a box over at the side of the stage.

That's how I've done it for six years now. You won't want to go back. Trust me on this.
