OK, I'm never taking ProPlus again. Knocked me out it did, I spent most of yesterday feeling so tired I was giddy with it. I had to have an hour's nap when I got home just to take the edge off it.

Bah!

So now I need another alternative to help me stay awake at work. What's that you say? I should try this sleep thing? I DO that but I seem to need like 12 hours of sleep a night :P

Maybe I should try crack :P

Annnnnyway, better day at work yesterday, despite the whole "ugh" thing. It went really, really fast cos we were fairly busy so that was a bonus.

Ohh look! A meme! Shinnnny!! Stolen from everywhere but first seen on [livejournal.com profile] nmalfoy.

Ask me three questions, any three questions, and I'll answer 'em. No anonymous posts though, please :) Then paste this in your journal and do the same there.

I can't help but notice there's no 'honestly' clause in the 'answer 'em' promise *g* But still ...

1) Why did you choose to do the degree you did?
2) Exacly 5 million pounds comes your way, but you have to spend it all - no saving, no giving away. What do you buy?
3) Do aliens exist?

Best. Questions. Ever.

1) Cos I'm damn good at English Lit. I'd have been even better if I'd worked at it :P And I really enjoy it. Alas, it has little practical use in the real world except during pub quizzes :)

2) I'd have big houses in London, D.C. and New York. And shiny cars at each. That should blow most of the 5 million effortlessly.

And the bestest most expensive PCs with broadband at each house. Natch.

Oh, and a season ticket for Leeds Utd.

Possibly I'd end up owing money :P

3) Poooossibly. I don't see how we can be the only sentient life in the galaxy. If you accept the theory of evolution, then it's hard to believe we're the only planet out of gazillions where this has happened.

I'm with Hobbes on this one "I think the one sure sign there's intelligent life on other planets is that no-one's tried to contact us."

1) Favourite thing made of wood?

2) Kitchen appliance you can relate to most?

3) Uh... Anagram of 'spleen'?

Eh heh... Is it obvious that I was stumped for questions? ;)

1) You don't specify if it's something I own or something I'd like to own, so I'll answer for both :) I have two treasured wooden items. a) I have a small wooden Garfield that a colleague of my Mum made for me years ago, based on a cartoon I did for her office. It's Garfield looking evil but dressed as an angel. If you pull a string, wings appear and on them are the words "Trusssst me!" b) I have a lovely rocking chair :)

As for owning, I'd like one of those really elaborately carved chess sets. I can't play worth a damn but they look gorgeous :)

2) Blender - throw everything in and slice and dice. Good description of life :)

3) OK, I might be good at English Lit, but I'm not THAT good at anagrams :)

Hello. I am an anonymous poster. You don't know me, and I have certainly not already asked my questions. Therefore, I am entitled to ask some now. Heh. *Glances over his her shoulder. (Wow. Quick thinking there. Heh heh heh.)*

1) Button on the TV remote you most frequently use?

2) Animal you would most like to be, and reason for choice? (Okay, unoriginal, but you get some great answers to this one. :) )

3) One strange and irrelevant thought that's going through your head right now? (Err...I stole this one from that dashing [livejournal.com profile] cboard_monster chap. I'm not him recycling questions because they interest me...)

Heh. She'll never know.

What's that? Logged in? Ah... doh!

1) Ooh the blue favourites button on my sky remote. That lets me flick through my favourite channels to decide there's nothing on a lot quicker. :)

2) Cat. Not a pedigree one that is kept indoors or anything, mind. A moggy with the run of the house and outdoors. Fuss, attention, food and an excuse to torment human beings - what more could you ask for?

3) Thoughts? Blimey, that's asking a lot. Ummmmm. Actually, all I'm really thinking about right now is "What's for lunch?" :)
