The guy playing Diggle (worst name ever) had a gig on "Blue Blood" when this show came up and he said somewhere that in the pilot his character didn't have a lot to do but the producers assured him that his character was going to be very important as the season progressed so he took the gig. Good call! (And that also reassures me that some serious forethought was given into how to sustain the show's premise. Too often I've seen shows that have been all about the Shiny Big Idea but have struggled to do anything with it. Actually, Hawaii 5-0 new flavour falls into this category.)
I am adoring how Susanna is playing Moira. She could easily be a cartoon villain but both her and the writers are giving her juuuust enough depth to prevent that. I think her retrieving the boat suggests she didn't know about it in advance and wanted proof for later. Dangerous game to play. Also, John Barrowman's role is being nicely judged in terms of what we see and learn. Also also John Barrowman - mmmmm!
