That database that was going to be turned off on 31st March? Turned off 3pm today. We got 4 hours warning that only certain users would have access after today. I'm not one of them.

It is fortunate for humanity that I should be able to get access next week by devious means. Also that I have cider waiting for me at home. By such tiny margins is humanity spared.

With the announcement in November that Muller Wiseman want to buy our Dairies division, we have to split the computer systems in two. Some of this is straight-forward. Some of it, such as the people who have to manage stock from two rival companies in the same warehouse and distribution centre, is not. Plus people keep making decisions with no idea of the underlying business rules or data restrictions...
