mitchy at 05:31pm on 28/07/2004Yesterday I went to visit friends over in Maldon (about an hour from me so not to bad). Moira is a lovely lady and she's one of those that has this paranoid fear you might leave the house hungry. There was sooooooooooooooooooooooo much food! First there was lunch, then in the afternoon there were cakes and then for dinner there was two sorts of pasta with two sorts of sauces, two sorts of pizza and if you had room (I didn't) there were vats of ice cream for dessert.
I wouldn't say I was full to the point of bursting but I'm only just now, 18 hours later, starting to feel hungry again :P
We played a very silly Mage game, WoD based but set in WWII. I played Stewie the Robot, who didn't say much but shot lots of people and enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun. :) It was very silly but that was ok, it just meant lots more giggling and one-liners :)
So my season one Highlander DVDs have arrived! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! There will be contented purring from the general direction of my sofa later :)
Picked up my asthma prescription from the chemist today, only days late *hangs head* Should have done this last week really, I'm a bad mousey. Still, asthma's ok, though it was a bit rough yesterday but the reliever kept it under control.
The only fly in the ointment today has been my satellite's stubborn refusal to broadcast Sky One or Channel 5. There's stuff I wanted to watch too. Bah! Rang the help number, and they just told me to reset the system, which I'd already done. If it's not back tomorrow, I'll have to get an engineer to look at it. If I go through Sky, it'll cost £65 but that's all parts and labour. Hmm. Hopefully it's just having a bad day due to the humidity or something and will be all right tomorrow. It had better be *glowers at it*
