My last night before I go back to work and I have chronic insomnia. Gee, willy whiz, colour me surprised. Not. I'm not even sleepy at the moment and I didn't drink hardly any tea yesterday for just this reason! Denied tea and for nothing! Bah!

Seriously, this sucks. I need another job. Must go back to that job agency on my next day off.

Anyone know any good insomnia cures that don't involve hot drinks or counting sheep?

I wish I knew, luckily I have a night job, so that fits alright with the insomnia hehe

*pets* If you can get a tv and vcr in there, put on a movie you love but you've seen 3 billion times before, keep it only just audible. It works pretty good sometimes.

I do, but this is a family journal, so I shan't get too specific ;)

The other way is to read something really intellectual.

Are you implying I would find that a strain and thus doze off out of boredom? *giggles*

All I can say is it works for me :)

A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson is fairly accessible, crammed with information, and yeah, snuggle down with that and you've got 15 or 20 pages tops...
