I've woken up today with an evil headache. I don't get headaches very often and when I do, it's nearly always sleep (or lack of) related and they're usually those really annoying thumping headaches. I can only assume the silly hours I've been keeping lately have something to do with it.
Take yesterday and today - bed at 2am, up at 9, 5 hours at work, 4 hour nap from 6pm to 10pm. Bed at 4am. Woke up at 9am, pottered for half an hour, gave up and went back to bed. Woke up at noon with the killer headache. It's not because I'm not tired or I'm not sleeping, I think, it's because I'm not sleeping for long enough periods in any kind of pattern. I'll have to make a real effort next week to get to bed by 11.30pm every night at the latest - earlier if possible - and get some sort of routine going.
In the meantime, tablets have been taken - I'm sure they'll kick in aaaany second now....*taps foot* - and I'm going to curl up on the sofa and watch Arsenal v. Manchester Utd. Later on, I shall watch some of the US football but I MUST NOT let myself be sidetracked into staying up too late. I'll watch until midnight and then it's bed for me. I'm also turning the computer off for a while, as trying to watch the football and poking LJ probably won't help the headache :P
