Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

In addition to the fun and games at work, I've been beating up the flat this week and attempting to get it in reasonable condition for jenni411's visit. The bathroom was conquered on Tuesday, the lounge was beaten up on Wednesday. Tonight *pauses to insert FX of doom laden music* was ......THE BEDROOM. Aiiieeee!!

It was NOWHERE as bad as it was when lithium_doll and I did the Great Flat Clean Up four years ago, as I have been making something of an effort but even so, it wasn't fun. However, it has been conquered and I am victorious! Course, the corner with the computer desk is still something best left uninvestigated but the front half of the room is now clean and tidy and jenni411 can now get to the bed without need of navigational aids and mountaineering equipment. :)

Tomorrow night is the kitchen, which is the easiest room of all because I have really made an effort with that one. However, the cooker needs cleaning, which I hate, and so does the floor, which I also hate. Still, once I've done that tomorrow and hoovered right through, I'm done.

To Do:

Buy washing powder
Wash duvet cover and sheet/pillow cases
Get them dry
Clean kitchen cooker and floor
Finish tidying kitchen
Buy supplies for the weekend

Thank gods I finish work early tomorrow :P

And then I'll be on holiday and jenni411 will be here! Yayyyy!!

*Yawns* Bah. I still feel as sluggish as a slug in Slugsville wot's won the World's Most Sluggish Slug Award. Two nights of broken sleep really haven't helped me catch up yet. I'm falling behind at home, too, too much stuff being left because I'm too brain dead.

Must. get. rear. in. gear.

Work is ticking over nicely, the schools are back for the Autumn term so the work is picking up. I don't mind being busy, it makes the day go faster. I've long since learned to not get stressed about having too much to do, because after all, there's only one of me and only so much I can do in a given amount of time. So I'm looking forward to being even busier. Yes, you may quote me when I post wailing that the paper mountain has taken over my desk :)
