Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

I think 'm a-feared :)

Today was so glorious I was determined to get out and about. My initial plan was to go to RAF Hendon but I got lost. Well, no, that's not entirely true, I knew where I'd gone wrong and knew how to point myself in the right direction again, it just took me a while to sort myself out. Deciding I'd lost too much time, I instead made a beeline for the M1, bopped up to Junction 9 and tootled across to Dunstable Downs.

It was GORGEOUS!

Gentle breeze that ensured you kept cool, warm sun, blue sky with occasional white, wispy clouds. Not so packed you couldn't find a good patch of ground to stretch out on and snooze in peace. Which is exactly what I did :D In between snoozes, I watched the many, many kites that were being flown. There was some really lovely ones being flown - I took some pics which I'll upload later, see if any do the scene justice :)

When I'd finished snoozing and broiling, I went into the visitor centre for a lovely mug o'tea and I sat near the open doors and did crosswords and other puzzles in my puzzle book. Bliss :)

Got home about five, nicely toasted. Now I'm about to watch Leeds Utd on the telly, and hopefully the chinese food I ordered will arrive in the next hour.

All in all, it was a Good Day.

Went with LovelyBoss this morning to do two site visits for various reasons. It's been a glorious day here in Herts and it was a pleasure to be out and about. Neither visit was fraught or difficult and we were back in the office by 11am. It really gave me a lift and it made for a shorter day in some ways too, because the afternoon went by pretty fast, despite one very long, dull teleconference call.

Had a very productive meeting with LB regarding my PMDS. Also discussed some Work Stuff with her which I may talk about in a f-locked post later, but it left me feeling a lot more positive. I started the week a bit out of sorts and I could feel my tension levels rising today, despite the enjoyable morning, which was just daft. Venting to LB helped a lot and she's suggested some courses of action to help with the Work Stuff.

Going to be awfully quiet in our bit of the office for the next little while. QuietButDeadly is off now until next Tuesday, LB is off next week, I'm off 5th to 12th May and then LB is off again for w/c 16th. It's going to be a month before we're all going to be in the office at the same time for more than a day, which is just weird.

*basks in the evening sun coming through her lounge window* I do hope the weather is like this for even a lil' bit of the weekend, I want to go out and about in it ;)
