Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

Well no-one could accuse me of being a fair-weather NFL fan, that's for sure. 4.30am I staggered to bed, and I wasn't even watching my team.

*yawns mightily*

And I'm hoping to watch more games tonight. I suspect napping will be in my near future. Right now though, there's going to be tea and maybe Leverage :)

I was so tired today that I asked if I could leave work an hour early. I must have looked as tired as a I felt, because Foghorn took one look at me and not only agreed an early finish today but suggested I do only 4 hours tomorrow. It's not from lack of sleep, I've been sleeping like the dead since I went back to work, so I can only assume it's taking me longer to adjust to work than I thought.

It's the work's Christmas Quiz night tonight and I want to go, so am wandering off for a nap to recuperate. Hopefully that'll perk me right up :) The quiz should be lots of fun, there's going to be a buffet and a raffle and there's a bar (although we have to pay for the drinks, they're not that generous :)). I'm mildly intimidated by the fact that I'm the only non-manager in my team but hopefully it'll work out all right.

Anyway, now *poses* to the bat duvet! *thud snore*

Dear gods, I was tired this morning. I have no idea why, I wasn't that late getting to sleep, just past midnight. Normally seven and a half hours is more than enough for me but I woke up feeling like crap. Bleurgh.

Took two cups of tea to get going this morning and I decided to bail on going to see QI tonight on the grounds that I wouldn't enjoy it if I was yawning my head off. Bah. Anyway, I'm being a good Mitchy and heading to bed now, so hopefully the extra hour or so will make the difference.

It had better....*mutters darkly*

Good news though - the mountain of paperwork has been tamed! Hurrah! From here on in, it's daily maintenance as opposed to the frantic scramble to clear the stuff enough to see my desk :) I am an Admin Ninja, fear me!

The hire van's all sorted for the weekend and the Retrieval of the World's Comfiest Sofa from deepest, darkest Exeter. I've been told cider's been ordered. *sighs happily* Should be good! Yay for seeing lithium_doll and doccy! It's funny, but because I usually "see" LD online, it doesn't seem like a long time since we saw each other in real life. In fact, it's nearly 18 months. Yikes! Time flies on the internet ;)
