What do you have to do to become qualified for it? Where I work we have a mix of people who have degrees (yes, I have a degree in Business Management with an accountacy concentration, woo hoo,) and people who moved up by taking the classes they needed to for the position without getting the degrees.

I would have to study for various exams for recognised financial qualifications, CCPA or somesuch thing. But I don't really want to BE an accountant so it seems unwise to go down that route, even assuming there was still the budget at work to help me get the training, which I suspect there isn't.

Ah. I don't want to be an accountant, either, but somehow I seem to be. Actually, if I was doing accounting I probably wouldn't mind. But as a Senior Accounting Officer I seem to be doing inventory and nothing.
