Agent Carter Episode 1.05

Oh show, just when I think you can't ratchet up the tension any more, you get me biting my nails up to my elbows. There are show writers I'd like to get by the ear, make 'em watch and go "See? SEE?! THAT'S how it's done!" :)

Soooo Dottie's Red Room eh? Or a 1940's version thereof. Wow, what a li'l psycho! And she's seen the incriminating evidence in Peggy's room! Eeek! That's not good :P Now, I'm guessing she's Leviathan, because how else did they get Peggy's name? But you'd think Leviathan would just kill her and move on so what's the end game here? Interesting!

Sousa!! Oh boy, I figured he'd work out Peggy was the blonde but I truly loved the way they set up him seeing the bullet scars and figuring it out. Complete accident but a realistic one, so well plotted I wanted to stand up and applaud the writers. So what's he going to do? Protocol says he takes what he's got to Dooley but he doesn't seem to want to do that, because Peggy's been decent to him and he likes her. Which leaves him in a heck of a spot, so I'm thinking he's going to start snooping. That's going to cause complications.

Howling Commandos! Adore the Howling Commandos, love 'em to teeny tiny bits. Great to see 'em in the show, wish we could keep 'em.

Dooley is developing nicely as a character, I liked the conversation he had with the journalist and his conversation with Jarvis was an interesting turn. Howard won't take the bait but I like that he offered. And Jarvis is still trying to make things up with Peggy, which is funny as Peggy is still trying to prove Howard's innocence anyway. Poor Jarvis - and I laughed when he stopped himself tugging his ear before he lied his head off. Still can't lie worth a damn though :D

Note to self: get some Agent Carter icons!

I haven't seen any hints about next week's episode yet so I'm completely in the dark. I presume there's a trailer somewhere, in which case I'll probably see it on Tumblr at some point :)

The "young girls" flashback was *seriously harsh*. Wow. And the girl in the base was damn disturbing too. And so was the Navy Cross confession. This series suddenly went way dark! Great writing, though. Nice to see Neal McDonough having a blast, too.
