Go Eagles!

Well that was a turn up for the books, I didn't think the Eagles would beat the Giants but they did! Excellent game, pretty tight and close until the 4th quarter when the Giants did themselves no favours and the Eagles came up with some very key plays when they needed it. Final score was 23-11.

Now it's time for the Chargers v. Steelers. I confess to being very torn, I like both teams a lot, so I suppose in one sense I can't lose but in another, I can't win! Eh, I'll just hope for a really good game :) Although I'll be really glad if it doesn't go to overtime, I would really like to get to bed before 1am!

(Actually, the perfect result would be one team up by about 30 points by the end of the third quarter - then I could go to bed in relative safety :D)

Life is good

Today has been brought to you by the words "Lazy fat dormouse". I have done NUFFINK today, absolutely nuffink. There has been surfing, watching of Numb3rs (very silly), cackling over Leverage web stuff, napping, watching football and now I'm coiled up with the cat, hot chocolate, a hot water bottle and the US Football playoffs :)

Have I mentioned I love Saturdays?

I don't have any huge preferences out of the four playoff teams playing tonight. Maybe the Cards, as the underdogs against the Panthers. In fact, the only thing I'm sure of is I'd really like the Ravens, conquerors of my beloved 'Fins, to lose but I have to say they're playing well atm so who knows? I'll settle for two good games tonight. The real games are tomorrow - Steelers v. Chargers (I'm torn!) and Giants v Eagles (go Eagles!).

Leeds lost today. *shakes head*

Now if you'll excuse me, all this nuffink won't get done by itself, y'know :D

Ravens 27 Dolphins 9

We were well and truly spanked. Can't grumble about the result, we didn't even look close to catching them and we gave up 4 interceptions. You cannot do that in the NFL and win games, you just can't. So we didn't deserve to win. Bitterly disappointed but not terribly surprised, because they kicked our arse during the season and I didn't think we were good enough to beat them. But we're the Division Champs for the first time in an age and our record wasn't too shabby after a horrible 2007 season.

In other words, it could have been worse :)

Why oh why is it whenever I stay up to watch the late (American) football game, it always goes to overtime? *glares at the clock* On the plus side, I've seen some cracking games through the yawning! This time around it was the Indianapolis Colts v. San Diego Chargers. I have a soft spot for the Chargers so was rooting for them, even though I thought the Dolts would win. But the Chargers won in O/T thanks to a touchdown! Yayyy! :D Dolts 17 Chargers 23 :D

Hope this is a good omen for my Dolphins tomorrow! *crosses paws*

And now I sleep! *swishes cape, topples over into bed*
