...will appear tomorrow if I finally remember to email the write up from work to home :P

Very lazy weekend, never really got going. Mind you, staying up Friday and Saturday to watch the Mets play the Yankees didn't help. Early night for me tonight, methinkest!

I'm pondering writing myself a list of chores to do each evening in an effort to make my lazy self actually do them. Can't hurt to try :)

Otherwise, I have no news - life is good and things are ticking over well :)

Realised this morning that I left my last decent pair of work trousers in the hotel in NYC. Dammit. So I had to dash out and buy an emergency pair to wear this week. I've ordered a couple of other pairs from a good online company too, so I'll get those for next week.

Ah well, I badly needed to overhaul my wardrobe anyway. Now I just need to find good shoes for work, at least two pairs. I'm fussy about shoes, takes me ages to find what I like :)

Last day of freedom, so excuse the short post, but all this nothing won't get done by itself :D

Goodness, I've set new standards of laziness this weekend, even for me. I've resolved, to make up for it, to take a walk every evening this week after work (or during lunch break if the weather's nice - I don't mind getting wet if I can go straight home to dry off :))

And I am not allowed to buy anything on Amazon for at least a month *sheepish look*

Now I'm going to get off the compy for a bloody change and do something else. I have several good books to read and I suspect a nice bath might be on the cards later :)

Have a good evening all!

I was going to go to bed early, with a view to going to the Ideal Home Exhibition tomorrow. *looks at time* Meh. May or may not make it. However, everyone else I got tix for had a fabulous time, so thank you very much, [livejournal.com profile] cookwitch! I blame the Masters golf and Zuma for my possible failure to attend :). Well that and I got a stinking cold the Saturday I was due to go with [livejournal.com profile] minmorton :P

Oh yeh, I need to warn those that know and love me that I've re-installed Zuma.......so if in response to IM's over the next few days you get cries of "ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH!! Level 12! It MOCKS me!" I apologise in advance :P

And gleee! No work tomorrow! Gotta love long weekends :D

From my perspective, Easter was perfectly timed this year. I was sorely in need of a break, we've been rather busy at work as is to be expected of a finance department at year end. So two four day weeks with loafing time in the middle suits me just fine :)

Only thing I have planned is to go to the Ideal Home Exhibition tomorrow, courtesy of the very lovely [livejournal.com profile] cookwitch and her free tickets :) Otherwise, I am still mainlining NCIS (Season 6, whee!), beating up Peggle and Fish Wrangler and later I shall watch the golf (Masters). I don't watch golf often but the Masters is set on such a gorgeous course and is always full of surprises, so I make a point to try and watch some of it every year. Also, it was my Mum's favourite golf tournament so I always feel closer to her when I watch it.

And now there shall be food perpetrated. Hee! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend as much as I am :)

Today has been brought to you by the words "Lazy fat dormouse". I have done NUFFINK today, absolutely nuffink. There has been surfing, watching of Numb3rs (very silly), cackling over Leverage web stuff, napping, watching football and now I'm coiled up with the cat, hot chocolate, a hot water bottle and the US Football playoffs :)

Have I mentioned I love Saturdays?

I don't have any huge preferences out of the four playoff teams playing tonight. Maybe the Cards, as the underdogs against the Panthers. In fact, the only thing I'm sure of is I'd really like the Ravens, conquerors of my beloved 'Fins, to lose but I have to say they're playing well atm so who knows? I'll settle for two good games tonight. The real games are tomorrow - Steelers v. Chargers (I'm torn!) and Giants v Eagles (go Eagles!).

Leeds lost today. *shakes head*

Now if you'll excuse me, all this nuffink won't get done by itself, y'know :D

My get up and go failed spectacularly today. So much so that I didn't really do much except indulge in burrowing under a warm duvet and watching the TV. Happily, Alibi are still showing Marple films, so I saw the Joan Hickson A Caribbean Mystery this evening. And very good it was too :)

I MUST get out tomorrow though, I gotta get the car taxed. Beh. Worst time of year really but there ya go. I may well get a six month one as I'm still debating selling it and at least it'll get the renewal time back to June rather than December.

*yawns* Mmm loafing. I'd feel guilty about it if I had the energy to care :P

The splitting headache subsided about 7am, with the aid of tea and food. At least I was in plenty of time for my 9am appointment with Mr Reay Jones, my consultant chap. He's pleased with me, he outlined future options (which I'll detail in a medical filter post, when I'm more awake) which boil down to staying as I am or..not :) There's some research I need to do but there is no hurry whatsoever for me to make a decision. Both options will involve further surgery so waiting a while makes good sense. The only downside is any further surgery would be under the auspices of DrM, whom I didn't like the first time around, because she was a snooty cow :P

Did some shopping on the way home, scoffed some food, watched Private Practice and Criminal Minds and then snoozed for 3 hours and felt a bit better. Made myself a fantastic dinner - I coated a turkey fillet liberally in butter, seasoned it, wrapped it in bacon and roasted it. It came out really well, the meat was moist and flavoursome and very tasty :) I made a warm potato salad to go with and it was scoffed with great enthusiasm. Now I'm just waiting for the apple crumble to cook for dessert. Hurrah!

Bones and Cold Case to watch later on, so life is good :)

Another peaceful day today, although I did make a point of getting out of the house. I didn't do anything exciting, you understand, just pootled round the shops, but it was nice to get out. Plus it gave the car a short spin so hopefully will fend off any more battery related woes.

I tried to phone my doctor to discuss a new sick note but she wasn't in today, dammit. I'll have to ring first thing in the morning. *gets alarm clock*

Caught up on Cold Case and The Unit today, hurrah! CC was an OK episode, nothing earth shattering, but then they have just had 3 corking episodes in a row so I guess one ep was going to fall a bit flat eventually. And it was Tracie-lite which was a crying shame, because the storyline really would have benefitted greatly from her character's presence, given Kat Miller is a single mother and so was the victim. I bet the execs mildly gnashed their teeth when they realised Tracie would be unavailable due to being in Rent. :P

The Unit was...ummm, disturbing. Not the main storyline, that was excellent, but the Mack/Tiffy subplot freaked me the hell out. Why does he have to forgive her when he was a big a cheat as she was? It just felt like the show was saying it was all the woman's fault. And don't even get me started about the whole gun thing........Mack needs serious help. The episode did end on a very interesting note though...if it IS the last season, as I've heard folks speculate, then I can see major character death coming soon to an episode near you. If they're not sure and want to resolve it any other way....well....I'm not sure they CAN to be honest. Be interesting to find out.

*streeeetches* Spooks is on in a bit! Mondays are getting to be as good a TV day as Thursdays :D

Just watched the latest ep of Cold Case, diownloaded it instead of waiting for it to broadcast on Sky on Thursday. Why? Because Tracie Thoms featured very heavily, for probably only the third time ever since she joined the show and, AND, she got to do a show first! She sang the song they used for the closing montage, "This Little Light of Mine" and it was fab!

So I'm a happy fangirly :)

In other non-news, did bugger all today. Oh wait, I lie, I took out the rubbish. If it had been a nicer day I might have risked a walk but its been threatening to rain all day. I didn't want to get stuck out in a downpour so I gave it a miss. Really do need to do more exercise though. Maybe I should get an exercise DVD or something :P Nah :P

The stoma nurse is/was supposed to be here today but she's not shown so far. As far as I know, she finished for the day at 4.30 so I'm guessing she won't show now. I must try and get up early tomorrow because I fully expect a morning phone call and a "is it all right if I pop round in the next 30 mins?", which is what happened last week :) It would be nice to be showered and dressed for once, when she arrives. I don't bother for the District Nurse for two reasons - one, it's a miracle I'm up and awake at 10.30am atm and two, only wearing a t-shirt and shorts makes it easier to give her access to the dressings. Oh, btw, everything is nearly all healed up! Hurrah!

*streeeeetches* And now I must go and do something else lazy and non-productive. Some CivII beckons, methinkest :)

*scampers off, still squeaking happily about TT and Cold Case*
