Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

Just opened a bunch of mail that arrived today. Of the many amusing missives, the following stand out. One is Demon Internet who have sent me EIGHT identical letters about an unpaid amount. EIGHT. Umm. I can only assume the computer hiccuped. But the best is the second....

Dear Mitchy, It has come to our attention that you are overdrawn on your bank account by £XXX.XX and that your overdraft limit is £XXX.XX. Please pay the excess amount into your account at once, love and kisses, Abbey.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, that felt gooooood :D

I'm surrounded by efficiency today, it's kinda scary.

My debit card expires next month but Abbey have sent the new card through already and it's valid from the first of this month so I can use it straight away. Umm. Actually, I'm not wild about this as it means my old and new card were both valid at the same time; this doesn't strike me as safe. On the other hand, given the problems I've had when a card's gone astray or been late, I think on the whole I prefer to get the damn thing a month early :)

Y'know I did an online grocery shop last night? Around 11pm? Well I booked a delivery slot for 11am-1pm today. The stuff arrived on the dot of 11am! *blinks* I must have looked amazed because the driver was amused when I commented on how prompt he was :) Oh, and for the first time ever, I got a grocery shop from Tesco's with no substitutions and nothing missing. I'm impressed :) Now I just need Morrison's to start a delivery service or Asda to stop being arseholes and scrap their "£25 minimum online order" thing.

Now, if I can just sort out my new sick note with my GP today, I'll be 3 for 3. *eyes time* Yeh, not going to attempt to ring 'em during the lunch hours, I'll ring after 2 :) Now, what lovely new shiny groceries have I got that I can have for lunch..? *wanders off to rummage*

After two way negotiations between Abbey and Capital One, I have my money back. Saints be praised.
